Story: Eddie Felson (Newman) is a former pool hustler now turned liquor salesman. One day he meets Vincent (Cruise) a young, cocky, talented pool player working at a toy store. Felson sees a lot of himself in Vincent and he convinces him and his girlfriend Carmen (Mastrantonio) to hit the road together. He wants to impart to them his knowledge on how to become a successful hustler.
